For this project, we helped conservation organization Revive & Restore announce the births of two new black-footed ferret clones, in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and cloning partners.

These clones are a milestone in the effort to save the black-footed ferret, one of North America’s most endangered mammals. Once thought to be extinct, today’s wild ferret population descends from just seven individuals, representing a severe lack of genetic diversity that threatens the long-term survival of the species.

Our goal with this media campaign was to help Revive & Restore gain broader support and visibility for their work bringing biotechnologies to wildlife conservation. This media campaign generated millions of views worldwide across news and media platforms.

Cloning is a new frontier for wildlife conservation! Lots of people have questions about its scalability, cost, and effectiveness.

Our social media strategy for this project centered on first attracting viewers with adorable black-footed ferret clones then educating viewers about how cloning for genetic rescue works.

The social campaign saw broad and global viewership, with thousands of impressions across platforms.
