website design + brand strategy

The Pringle Lab at UNR

Species interactions, and mutualisms in particular, are often seen as messy, localized processes. But the Pringle Lab at UNR works to untangle the mess, to study how complex processes work and discover their broader, ecological implications.

The Pringle Lab studies species interactions (mainly plant-insect interactions) and scales those interactions up, to better understand how local interactions influence landscape and global processes, like ecosystem functions.

We worked with Dr. Elizabeth Pringle to design a new brand and website for her lab that captured her passion for complexity. We used complexity in shape, color, and textures across the brand and website to visually share some of the nuance in her work.

THE BRAND

fresh, energetic, complex

The Pringle Lab is a team of curious and friendly folks who like to grapple with complexity. The biggest inspiration for the brand is species interactions and complex relationships in nature. It is powered by curiosity, discovery, and an appreciation for natural systems.
